Caramel cornflakes

Ingredients

  • 1 can (300 ml) condensed maple milk
  • 400 g brown sugar
  • 225 g butter
  • 150 g corn flakes
  • 375 ml corn syrup

Instructions

  1. Combine brown sugar, butter and corn syrup.
  2. Simmer over low heat for 15 minutes and remove from the heat.
  3. Add the maple condensed milk.
  4. Continue cooking for 15 minutes and remove from the heat.
  5. Add the cornflakes, coarsely crushed.
  6. Spread in a buttered 23 x 33 cm (9 x 13 in) pan.
  7. Leave to stand for 3 hours at room temperature.
  8. Cut and taste.
